Jim Hogan Named Central American Sales Director for International Surf Properties

International Surf Properties is proud to announce Jim Hogan has joined the team and will not only be presenting premiere properties in Costa Rica and Central America but will be reaching out to his many contacts around the world. With a multi-decade professional surfing career, those contacts are many!
Jim Hogan originally hails from San Clemente, California and has an illustrious surfing career. Hogan was the first from the famous San Clemente surf crew that made it onto the ASP world championship tour. This crew included Brian McNulty, Dino Andino, Matt Archbold, Chris Ward and so many since. During his career, Hogan placed in the ASP’s (Association of Surfing Professionals) top 25 for five years and continued on to the top 3 of the U.S. Bud Tour four years in a row.
Not to hang up his hat too soon, Jim went on to dominate the Pro Longboarding Tour as well. To stay in the surfing world he loved, he went on to coach the U.S. National Team, made up of young, amateur competitors and used this coaching experience to bring to Central America where he helped Chelsea Tuach, a Barbados’ teenage surfing phenomenon capture numerous titles such as being named Eastern Surf Magazine’s (ESM) Female Surfer of the Year at its 12th Annual ESeMMY awards in Florida.
“Settling down” for Jim did not mean taking a job at a surf company, but instead moving his family to Costa Rica to hook up with former pro surfer and land developer, Charlie Kuhn. It was then only natural to open the Jim Hogan Surf Camp. The camp has several branches in the country such as in Pavones, Mal Pais, Jaco and Herradura. Its main office is located in Playa Hermosa. The camp features amazing surf trips, fishing expeditions, boating tours, eco walks and many more activities.
“The real estate opportunities in this neck of the world are endless”. Hogan further explains, “there are exciting new build and sub development opportunities everywhere. We have seen a huge influx of interested buyers; American, Asian, Australian, South Americans and more.” Hogan is more than happy to give tours of properties and help assist in personal home / land purchases, plus he has sought out incredible investment opportunities for our clients.
